Auto-Diag-22: Clear Diagnostic Information — All Auto Tech

CLEAR DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION

The clear diagnostic information service is used to clear the set DTCs in one or multiple servers/ ECU’s memory.

The service ID for clear Diagnostic information is 0x14

Important points about the service

• The server/ECU will send the positive response after clearing its memory completely
• If there are no DTCs set, and if the client requests for clear Diagnostic information service, the server/ECU will send a positive response
• The same memory location is used in the server/ECU for clear diagnostic information and read diagnostic information services
• The request message contains a single parameter to select the group of DTCs as mentioned in the table
