Let us try and understand service 0x11 — ECU reset

This service is used when the client wants to request a server/ECU reset.

Different types of resets (sub functions) supported in service ID (0x11) ECU reset

Important points to know about ECU Reset

• The ECU sends a positive response to the client before initiating a reset.
• It is recommended that the server/ECU does not accept any requests until the reset is completed after a positive response to the ECU reset(0x11) service.
